Technical Description of Cremation Furnace
1. Equipment Definition & Classification
Cremation furnace, also known as cremator, is a sealed high-temperature oxidative incineration equipment designed for harmless treatment of organic matter including human remains and coffins through high-temperature decomposition. The mainstream model is the double-chamber re-combustion environmental-friendly type.
By furnace chamber structure, it is divided into trolley type, flat plate type and elevated grate type. In terms of fuel supply, it covers diesel-fired models and natural gas/LPG gas-fired models. Gas-fired regenerative energy-saving cremators dominate the current market.
2. Core Technical Parameters
Working Temperature
Primary combustion chamber: 850℃ ~ 950℃, realizes full carbonization and primary decomposition of organic substances.
Secondary re-combustion chamber: ≥1100℃, maintains high temperature retention time over 2 seconds to thoroughly crack dioxins, VOCs and other harmful flue gas pollutants.
Combustion SystemEquipped with imported low-NOx burners, featuring automatic ignition, flame monitoring and cut-off protection. Adopts regenerative heat exchange technology to recover waste heat from flue gas for preheating combustion air, reducing fuel consumption by 25%–40%.
Furnace Body StructureThe furnace lining is built with high-aluminum refractory bricks and heat-insulating fiber layers, featuring low heat loss, thermal shock resistance and long service life. The feeding trolley adopts water-cooled sealing structure to prevent cold air leakage and flue gas overflow.
Flue Gas Purification SystemIntegrated multi-stage purification process: high-temperature decomposition + cyclone dust removal + activated carbon adsorption + alkali spray deacidification. It effectively removes particulate matter, sulfur oxides, nitrogen oxides, hydrogen chloride and persistent organic pollutants, fully complying with national and international waste incineration emission standards.
3. Automatic Control System
Adopts PLC centralized automatic control, equipped with touch human-machine interface. It supports one-key cremation process operation, automatic temperature adjustment, fuel flow control, real-time flue gas monitoring, fault self-diagnosis and alarm functions. All operation data, temperature curves and emission records can be stored and exported for environmental protection inspection.
4. Safety & Environmental Protection Features
Full-sealed negative pressure operation inside the furnace to avoid odor leakage and cross-contamination.
Interlock protection devices for furnace door, trolley and burner to prevent misoperation.
Noise reduction design for burners and exhaust fans, with operating noise lower than 80dB(A).
Residual ash collection system with fully closed ash outlet to prevent dust escape during ash cleaning.
5. Application Scope
Widely applied in funeral parlors, dedicated cremation service institutions, compliant for incineration of human remains, wooden coffins, cotton and linen burial supplies and other organic burial materials.
